Vitri's Wedding | Day 4, Part 1: Western Ceremony

Saturday | June 27, 2009

Ooooh!!!!

Look what we found! Remember this hat?

Yes yes. It still exists.

Connie is so great because she effortlessly alternates between goofy silliness and looking like a fierce Indian celebrity.

I think this was my favorite costume change.

Felix also looked adorable!

As did the children.

The procession began.

And then out came Vijay-Uncle and the beautiful bride.

People gave readings...

Vitri and Jordan exchanged the most heartfelt, beautiful vows...

A candle was lit honoring Trini-Aunty.

And people raised their hands to send good thoughts and blessings toward the marriage.

(Dan looks like a rockstar.)

Done! Married!

They were so happy.

As were all the uncles and aunties.

The wedding party proceeded out.

And we then had a couple of hours to kill before the Indian ceremony.

The children played...

...while everyone else headed back to the house for costume change #2 of 3.

Indian Ceremony next!
